About the Role

Role Overview:
We are looking for compassionate, confident, and responsible Part-Time Mentors to join our team. This is a meaningful opportunity to work directly with children and teenagers across Dubai, helping them improve their confidence, communication, behaviour, and wellbeing through regular mentoring sessions. Mentors must be passionate about making a difference and skilled at building trust with young people.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-to-one mentoring sessions with assigned children or teenagers, focusing on emotional support, behaviour, motivation, and social skills.
• Build a strong and trusting relationship with each mentee, creating a safe, respectful, and positive space for growth.
• Guide mentees in setting goals, managing challenges, developing healthy habits, and gaining self-confidence.
• Maintain regular communication with the Ur Mentor team, submitting short session notes and feedback after each meeting.
• Collaborate with families and, when required, school staff to ensure consistent support for the mentee.
• Act as a positive role model, demonstrating values such as kindness, respect, accountability, and perseverance.
• Attend occasional team training sessions, check-ins, or events to support professional development and community.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • • Passion for working with children and teenagers in a supportive, mentoring capacity.

    • Experience in education, youth work, coaching, psychology, or counseling is preferred.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Emotionally intelligent, patient, and reliable.

    • Able to maintain appropriate professional boundaries with young people and families.

    • Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.

    • Flexibility to work during after-school hours, weekends, or holidays (based on family needs).

    • Must be based in Dubai and have access to transportation.

    • Valid UAE residence visa and eligibility to work in the UAE.

    • Male mentors will work with boys; female mentors will work with girls, in line with our gender-based pairing policy.
