Questions Parents Ask

Mentoring is one-to-one support from a highly qualified and carefully vetted adult who takes the time to truly understand your child. It’s a consistent, trust-based relationship where the Mentor helps your child build confidence, improve behaviour, and make positive choices. Unlike a teacher or therapist, a Mentor offers practical life guidance, emotional support, and a safe, judgement-free space to talk — helping your child feel seen, heard, and empowered to grow into their best self.

We mentor children and teenagers aged 6 to 18.

For safeguarding, boys are matched with male mentors and girls with female mentors. We always choose someone your child can connect with.

At home (like a trusted tutor), online, or sometimes out doing something active — like walking, bowling, or a relaxed café chat.

Standard sessions last 60 minutes, but we can adjust depending on your child’s needs.

Absolutely. Every Mentor is fully background-checked, trained in safeguarding, and receives ongoing professional development. We also have dedicated Safeguarding Leads in place to ensure the highest standards of safety, care, and accountability at all times.

We take the time to truly understand your child — their personality, interests, and the challenges they’re facing. Based on this, we carefully match them with the best-fit Mentor from our team — someone they can connect with, trust, and grow alongside.

We offer a range of flexible mentoring packages. We’ll walk you through everything on your free intro call — no surprises.

Yes — mentoring can make a real and lasting difference. We've seen incredible transformations in the children we support: increased confidence, improved behaviour, stronger friendships, and a noticeable reduction in stress at home. Most importantly, it creates a powerful, positive relationship with a trusted adult — someone your child can talk to, look up to, and rely on. This connection often becomes the turning point that helps them thrive.

No, we don’t diagnose or treat clinical mental health conditions. Mentoring is not therapy — it’s a practical, supportive relationship focused on personal growth, confidence, and real-life guidance.

Tutors focus on academics. Mentors support the whole child — mindset, emotions, friendships, study habits, and life skills. We can also help with homework and organization.

Every session is designed around your child’s needs and personality — no two are exactly the same. Some sessions involve meaningful conversations, fun games, or even a walk outside to help them relax and open up. Others might include setting personal goals, problem-solving challenges they’re facing, or learning important life skills like confidence, communication, or resilience. Our Mentors create a warm, safe space where your child feels supported, encouraged, and truly understood — so every session becomes a step forward in their personal growth.

You choose what works best — from weekly sessions to more regular or full-time support. We adapt to your family’s needs and schedule.

Yes. You’ll receive regular updates through the Family Portal and direct feedback from your child’s mentor.

Usually within a few days. Once we understand your child’s needs, we move quickly to begin support.

No problem. We’ll rematch quickly — no pressure, no awkwardness. The right connection matters most.

Absolutely. Life happens — we’re flexible, and there’s no long-term pressure.

Of course. Just book a free call — we’ll listen, answer your questions, and help you explore the best next step for your family.
